Overproofed

Having trouble getting a nice domed loaf using the bread machine on the custom setting and adding the extra flour to compensate for no turning. Suggestions? Using the basic sandwich bread with the sourdough starter.

  1. You would not add extra flour if you are using a bread machine. This could be why you aren’t getting a nice domed loaf. Follow the instructions on page 16 for sourdough in a bread machine. You don’t need to add flour since the turning is being done in the bread machine.
